Services - Quality of Carrot Company Products

Carrot Company manufactures its products in China. We are able to provide quality products to our customers by working closely with production companies and utilizing third party Japanese inspectors to maintain a high level of quality control.

1. Duties related to the quality are performed by our product management department from our main office in Japan. (Japan).
   -Production control: Our production control will minimize problems, in communications problems, delivery delays by strict management of the delivery schedule of goods.
   -Quality Control: We instruct, train and guide workers in our factories to prevent quality control issues that do occur frequently with production.
   
2. Our Japanese trained staff visits our factories once a month to guide the production and inspect product quality.
   -We guide and train workers directly in China to provide products to customers who are very particular about quality. In the process of production or inspection, we sometimes reject the products and have the product order redone to meet our quality standards.
   
3. We invest actively for production improvement and the safety of our customers.
   -X-ray inspection machines-----By our arrangement, two X-ray inspection machines are used in our factories in China and one machine in our distribution center in Japan as well.

In China, not all manufactures are equipped X-Ray compatibilities to provide safe products to their customer after manufacturing. Carrot Company takes the guess work out of product safety by utilizing a Japanese third party agency to X-ray completed products to ensure safety of its products for its customers.

Use of Japanese Third Party Inspection Agencies
Carrot Company utilizes Japanese third party inspection agency to assist our staff with quality and delivery control issues. We currently use three inspection agencies in China and one in Japan to ensure our products meet our standards. At our main manufacturing facilities, we have onsite inspection areas so our inspection agencies can perform inspection duties effectively and efficiently. Should we require starting production with a new manufacture, we require that all products be inspected by the Japanese third inspection agency.

Carrot Company invests annually $100,000 for these inspection services to ensure our products are safe for our customers.

In manufacturing, there are standards and guide lines enforced by Japan.
Below are examples;

1. Dangerous object management:

Sewing Needles – Needles are inventoried and managed. Broken needles can only be replaced by production supervisor in charge to ensure needles are not laying around to cause injury or be hidden with the product being manufactured.

The tools to produce bags are also managed by inventory management so we can immediately utilize our X-ray inspection to locate missing production tools.

2. Quality Control Inspection :

Completed products are inspected at manufacturing site according to our product documentation and design requirements. Each item has its own check list of inspection steps to ensure quality and product description.

3. Additional Quality Control Measures :

Our manufacturing facilities are well maintained and emphasize cleanliness for the safety of employees and to eliminate products from becoming dirty and/or receiving scratches during production. No shoe policy is enforced in our factories to keep our products clean and away from contaminates.

It has been a year since we implemented these quality control standards and thus far the results have been zero defectives. We currently manufacture over 6,000 SKU and have manufactured a total of 2.5 million pieces for the year 2009.
